LAFAYETTE COUNTY, MO – A collision in Lafayette County on Thursday afternoon sent an 80-year-old driver to the hospital, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.
In its accident log, the MSHP said the incident took place on Missouri-13 Highway at Long Grove Road in Higginsville at about 4:55 p.m.
State troopers said the driver of a 2008 Toyota Yaris that was headed north crossed over the center of the road, struck a 2016 Ford F150, went off the roadway and overturned.
The driver of the Toyota, Carolyn Tollard of Springfield, Missouri, was transported to Centerpoint Hospital with serious injuries. She was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
