News: Woman, 2 teenagers injured when vehicles collide on Highway F

JACKSON COUNTY, MO – A woman and two teenagers were taken to the hospital following a crash in Jackson County last Thursday afternoon, state troopers said.

 

The Missouri State Highway Patrol’s accident report stated that the incident happened on Highway F and East Zumwalt Road at about 4:40 p.m.

 

The MSHP said the driver of a 20007 Dodge Nitro that was headed north made a left turn in front of a southbound 2007 Toyota Solara, and the vehicles collided.

 

The driver of the Toyota, 20-year-old Brooklyn Aswegan of Kingsville, Missouri, sustained minor injuries and was transported to St. Luke’s East Hospital. The driver of the Dodge, a 17-year-old girl, and her passenger, a 14-year-old boy, also suffered minor injuries and were taken to Children’s Mercy Hospital. The two Dodge occupants are from Lone Jack, Missouri.

 

All three injured victims were wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash, state troopers said.
