JOHNSON COUNTY, MO – A woman and two children were injured when their vehicle crashed in Johnson County on Sunday afternoon, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Troop A responded to the crash site on Missouri 13 north of Missouri 2 shortly after 12:30 p.m. Preliminary details indicated that a 23-year-old woman was driving a 2003 GMC Yukon northbound when the vehicle crossed the center of the roadway. When the driver overcorrected, the GMC went off the left side of the roadway and overturned.
The driver and two passengers, a one-year-old boy and an infant girl, sustained minor injuries. The three, all residents of Jefferson City, Missouri, were transported by Johnson County Ambulance District to Western Missouri Medical Center – Warrensburg.
The three were all wearing safety devices at the time of the accident.
