News: Warrensburg woman, 69, killed in Johnson County car wreck

JOHNSON COUNTY, MO – State troopers said a motor vehicle crash in Johnson County Saturday morning left one motorist dead and another hosptalized.

 

According to a report by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the driver of a 2020 Ford Ecosport was headed south on Missouri 13 at about 10:36 a.m. and turned into the path of a 2017 Ford Transit at the intersection with NE 600 Road.

 

The Transit driver swerved and the vehicles crashed on the right side of the roadway. The driver of the Ecosport, 69-year-old Linda Ridge of Warrensburg, was pronounced dead at Research Medical Center. She was not wearing a seat belt, troopers said.

 

The driver of the Transit, 22-year-old Caleb Henry of Blue Springs, sustained moderate injuries and was taken to Western Missouri Medical Center.
