News: Suspect arrested in 3 Missouri hit-and-run incidents

KANSAS CITY, MO – Kansas City police said that a suspect has been arrested in connection with three hit-and-run crashes, KCTV reports.

One of the incidents occurred in the area of Bannister Road and 71 Highway on Monday morning.  A pedestrian walking on the south side of Bannister Road at about 11:23 a.m. was struck by a black Chrysler 200 traveling at a very high rate of speed, according to police.  The victim was transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The driver involved sped away from the scene.  Kansas City police later learned that the same vehicle had been involved in two previous hit-and-run incidents, in Grandview and Belton.

After the Belton crash the driver attempted to flee the scene on foot, but she was apprehended by police.  No other injuries were reported in the incidents.
