News: Injuries reported in semi-trailer wreck on Interstate 435

KANSAS CITY, MO – A truck accident shut down a portion of Interstate 435 in Kansas City on Wednesday morning, WDAF reports.

Police and firefighters responded to the scene along I-435 south between Truman Road and Front Street shortly before 8 a.m.

A semi-trailer was one of three vehicles involved in a collision that caused the semi to overturn.  Injuries were reported in the incident but no specific details were released on who was hurt.

Two lanes were shut down I-435 for several hours while the scene was being cleared and HazMat crews worked to clean up a leak that resulted from the crash.  Drivers were advised to find alternate routes.
