News: 2 women killed when vehicles collide at intersection in Raytown

RAYTOWN, MO – The Missouri State Highway Patrol said two people were killed in a crash in Jackson County on Thursday morning.

 

According to the MSHP’s accident report, the wreck occurred on E. 72nd Street and Blue Ridge Boulevard in Raytown at about 8 a.m.

 

State troopers said a northbound 2004 Honda Accord crossed the center line of the roadway and was struck by a 2010 Dodge Charger driven by a 21-year-old man that was heading in the opposite direction.

 

The driver of the Honda, 35-year-old Crystle Brown of Belton, Missouri, and her passenger, 18-year-old Zeraieh Bland of Kansas City, Missouri, were pronounced dead at the scene.  No other injuries were reported.

 

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
