News: Pickup truck collision on MO-131 leaves 1 driver dead, 1 injured

LAFAYETTE COUNTY, MO – State troopers said one person was killed and another injured in a crash in Lafayette County on Thursday night.

 

The Missouri State Highway Patrol’s accident report said the incident occurred on Missouri Route 131 north of Bryant Knob Road at about 7:55 p.m.

 

State troopers said 36-year-old Semaj Moore was driving a 2003 Ford F150 northbound when he crossed the center of the roadway and struck a 2006 Dodge Ram in the southbound lane.

 

Moore, a resident of Lexington, Missouri, was pronounced dead at the scene.  The other driver, a 16-year-old male from Pleasant Hill, Missouri, suffered moderate injuries and was taken by Wellington EMS to Centerpoint Hospital.  Moore was not wearing a seat belt at the time, troopers said.
