News: Accident on I-49 in Cass County leaves truck driver hospitalized

CASS COUNTY, MO – The Missouri State Highway Patrol said a truck driver was injured in a crash in Cass County early Tuesday morning.

 

According to the MSHP’s accident log, the incident took place on Interstate 49 southbound at mile marker 169.2 at about 3:55 a.m. State troopers said 28-year-old Sobot Kuvondikov of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania was driving a 2019 Freightliner when the vehicle travelled off the left side of the roadway into the median and struck a cable barrier before coming to rest.

 

Kuvondikov, who was wearing a seat belt, was transported by ambulance to Belton Regional Hospital with what were reported to be minor injuries.
