KANSAS CITY, MO – Officers with the Kansas City, Missouri Police Department were called to a deadly motorcycle accident early Tuesday morning, KMBC reported.
The wreck took place shortly before 2 a.m. in the area of Missouri 152 Highway and U.S. 169 Highway in the Northland. Preliminary details indicated that the operator of a Harley-Davidson motorcycle was heading west on Missouri 152 and lost control while trying to negotiate a curve near U.S. 169.
The motorcycle went off the roadway, traveled down into a ravine and collided with a tree. The rider was ejected from the bike and died at the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
