KANSAS CITY, MO – A collision near the West Bottoms area of Kansas City on Sunday morning left a motorcyclist critically injured, according to a KSHB report.
The motorcycle rider collided with a vehicle in the area of Woodswether Road and Mulberry Street shortly before 11 a.m. A preliminary investigation by the Kansas City Police Department found that the operator of a modified Harley-Davidson Sportster motorcycle lost control of the bike while doing wheelies on Woodswether Road.
The rider crossed into oncoming traffic and collided with a Chevrolet Tahoe head-on. The motorcyclist was rushed to an area hospital in critical condition.
Police are continuing to investigate the cause of the accident.
