KANSAS CITY, MO – A driver collided with a car that had been involved in a previous wreck in Kansas City early Sunday morning, according to Fox 4 KC.
The collisions took place on the exit ramp from northbound Interstate 49 to Interstate 470 at 12:35 a.m. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s crash report, a 2025 Kia Sportage was stopped in lane 4 on the ramp after a crash when the driver of a northbound 2015 Chevrolet Malibu struck the back of the Kia.
The driver of the Malibu, a 31-year-old woman from Raymore, Missouri, was seriously injured and transported by the Kansas City Fire Department to Research Medical Center. She was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident, the MSHP said.
The Kia driver, a 25-year-old man from Kansas City, Kansas, was not injured.
