News: Motorcycle rider dies following crash on Interstate 435 in Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, MO – Kansas City police responded to a fatal motorcycle accident Wednesday night in the area of Interstate 435 and Stadium Drive.

 

According to KCTV, the incident on I-435 north was reported shortly after 6:30 p.m.

 

Police said two motorcyclists were driving north at about 80 to 90 miles an hour. One of them, driving a black Kawasaki ZX, kept going straight when the interstate curved and struck a median.

 

The motorcyclist was thrown from the bike and tumbled through the median. The motorcyclist, who was wearing a legal helmet, was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim’s identity was not released.

 

No other injuries were reported in the crash, which remains under investigation.
