SALINE COUNTY, MO – The Missouri State Highway Patrol said a man was killed in a single-vehicle accident in Saline County on Monday evening.
According to the MSHP’s crash report, the incident happened on eastbound Missouri 20 near Green Avenue at 6:10 p.m.
State troopers said the driver of a 2003 GMC Savana was headed east when he drove off the left side of the roadway and the vehicle overturned. The driver was ejected and the vehicle came to rest on its passenger side.
The driver, identified as 32-year-old Jessy Smith of Marshall, Missouri, was transported by Life Flight to University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
