CASS COUNTY, MO – Two people were injured when their motorcycle was involved in an accident in Cass County Sunday afternoon.
The crash happened on Route 291 southbound near 203rd Street shortly before 3 p.m., according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
State troopers said a 1978 Ford F-250 pickup truck went off the right side of the roadway after losing a tire. The tire then struck a 2008 Harley Davidson, causing the motorcycle to go off the left side of the roadway. A man and a woman on the bike were both ejected.
The driver of the motorcycle, 29-year-old Brad Storm, and his passenger, 28-year-old Erika Storm, were both seriously injured and taken to Research Medical Center. Both are residents of Pleasant Hill, Missouri. No other injuries were reported.
