News: Motorcyclist injured after crashing into car at I-470 exit ramp

KANSAS CITY, MO – Kansas City police said a motorcycle and a car were involved in a collision at an intersection on Saturday night, KSHB reports.

 

Officers responded to the scene in the area of Blue Ridge Boulevard and the Interstate 470 exit ramp.  An investigation indicated that the driver of a Suzuki motorcycle was headed south on Blue Ridge Boulevard at about 9:45 p.m. and failed to stop for a red light.

 

The motorcycle hit the front of a Dodge Dart whose driver had the green light and was making a left turn onto Blue Ridge Boulevard.  The motorcyclist, who was not wearing a helmet, was ejected from the bike.

 

He was seriously injured and was rushed to an area hospital.
