News: Kingsville man dies in car accident on Route F in Lone Jack

JACKSON COUNTY, MO – A single-vehicle car accident in Jackson County early Thursday morning claimed the life of a driver, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

According to the MSHP’s accident log, the incident occurred on Route F south of Faulkenberry Road at about 5:24 a.m. State troopers said a man was driving a 2017 Hyundai Veloster northbound on Route F when the vehicle ran off the roadway, hit a sign, an embankment and a tree.

The impact caused the Hyundai to catch on fire. The driver, 39-year-old Jefferson Hilton of Kingsville, Missouri, was pronounced dead at the scene by a Lone Jack paramedic. It was not known whether the victim was wearing a seat belt at the time.

Troopers were assisted at the scene by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department.
