PLATTE COUNTY, MO – A portion of Interstate 29 in Platte County was shut down following a fatal accident on Wednesday morning.
The crash happened on I-29 north near Elm Grove Road north of Platte City, according to a report by WDAF.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said at least one person was killed in the collision involving a commercial vehicle and another vehicle at about 8 a.m. There was no word on the identity of the victim.
The northbound lanes of I-29 were shut down for the crash investigation and cleanup efforts before reopening about two hours later.
