KANSAS CITY, MO – An update in a fatal hit-and-run crash in Kansas City on March 21 was reported by Fox 4 KC.
The Kansas City Police Department released photos and a description of the vehicle they are searching for in the case.
The incident occurred at in the area of Eastwood Trafficway and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, where the driver of a dark-colored car went through a red light shortly before 2:30 a.m.
The vehicle struck a man on a scooter who was pronounced dead at the scene. He was identified as 60-year-old Arthur Lee, who worked as a pitmaster at Arthur Bryant’s Barbeque and most recently at Gates BBQ. The driver involved left the scene.
The vehicle police are searching for was described as a black or dark-colored newer model SUV with window tint, turn signal indicator lights on side mirrors and high intensity head lights. It will likely have damage to the center grill and hood.
