KANSAS CITY, MO – A collision in Independence involving a motorcycle and an SUV sent two people to the hospital, according to KSHB.
The crash took place Saturday afternoon on southbound Noland Road near 45th Street at about 4:15 p.m.
The Independence Police Department said that the operator of a Kawasaki motorcycle was speeding and weaving through traffic when the bike crashed into the driver’s side of a Chevrolet Tahoe that was making a turn from a driveway onto Noland Road.
Two people on the motorcycle were ejected and seriously injured. Both were wearing helmets at the time. The driver of the Chevrolet was not hurt.
Police are continuing to investigate the cause of the accident.
