News: Head-on crash on U.S. 50 in Pettis County leaves both drivers dead

PETTIS COUNTY, MO – Two drivers were killed when their vehicles collided in Pettis County late Tuesday night, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

 

The wreck happened on U.S. 50 west of Monsees Road at 11:30 p.m.

 

The MSHP reported that the driver of a 1998 Chevrolet Silverado heading eastbound traveled into the oncoming lane of traffic and struck a westbound 2021 Jeep Wrangler head-on.

 

The Chevrolet driver, a 58-year-old man from Smithton, Missouri, and the Jeep driver, a 45-year-old woman from Green Ridge, Missouri, were pronounced dead at the scene.   Both were wearing seat belts at the time of the accident.
