CARROLL COUNTY, MO – A single-vehicle wreck in Carroll County on Friday afternoon left a driver hospitalized, KMMO reported.
Troopers with the Missouri State Highway Patrol were dispatched to the scene on Missouri 139 near County Road 150 at about 5:20 p.m. According to the MSHP’s initial report, the driver of a 2009 Chevrolet Impala was heading northbound when he was distracted by a bug.
The car went off the left side of the roadway, struck a culvert and then collided with a fence, then overturned. The driver, a 22-year-old man from Tina, Missouri, suffered moderate injuries and was taken by EMS to Carroll County Memorial Hospital.
It was not known whether he was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
