BENTON COUNTY, MO – A two-vehicle collision in Benton County on Tuesday morning sent both drivers to the hospital, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
The accident took place on U.S. 65 at Highway BB at about 10:25 a.m. According to the MSHP’s preliminary investigation, the driver of a westbound 2006 Ford failed to yield to oncoming traffic and pulled into the path of a northbound 2020 Jeep. The Jeep then struck the Ford on the driver’s side.
The Jeep driver, a 72-year-old man, and the driver of the Ford, a 56-year-old man, were both seriously injured. The two drivers, both residents of Warsaw, Missouri, were transported by Warsaw-Lincoln EMS to Bothwell Hospital.
They were both wearing seat belts at the time of the crash, state troopers said. The MSHP was assisted at the scene by Benton County Sheriff’s deputies.
