News: Driver critically injured when car slams into tree in Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, MO – Police said a speeding driver crashed in Kansas City Tuesday afternoon and was critically injured.

 

According to KSHB, the driver of a Chevrolet Camaro was traveling at high speed while going east on Blue Parkway Drive at about 12:12 p.m.

 

The driver lost control of the car while going around a curve and drove off the roadway in the 8300 block of Blue Parkway Drive.  The Camaro crashed into a tree, with the impact causing the vehicle to split in half, investigators said.

 

The motorist, whose name was not released, was rushed to an area hospital.
