News: Car accident on Missouri 152 in Clay County leaves 3 injured, including 2 children

CLAY COUNTY, MO – The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports three people were injured, including two children, in a crash in Clay County Friday morning.

 

The incident happened on eastbound Missouri 152 and N Shoal Creek Parkway at about 8:50 a.m. State troopers said a 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan and a 2015 Ford Edge were stopped at a stop light. The driver of the Ford accelerated and struck the Dodge as the light was still red.

 

The driver of the Dodge, 37-year-old Gary Brownell, and two girls in his vehicle, ages 3 and 4, suffered minor injuries in the collision. Brownell sought their own treatment for the three victims, all residents of Kansas City, Missouri, The driver of the Ford, 23-year-old Jacqueline Quigley of Kansas City, was not injured.
