News: Adult and child on motorcycle injured in collision at Ward Parkway

KANSAS CITY, MO – Three people were hospitalized after a vehicle and a motorcycle collided Wednesday morning at a Kansas City intersection.

 

According to WDAF, the incident happened as the driver of a Ford Ranger approached 72nd Street and Ward Parkway from a stop sign. The Ford was then struck by a northbound motorcycle.

 

The driver of the motorcycle was thrown from the bike and critically injured. The person was not wearing a helmet at the time, police said. A child passenger on the motorcycle was seriously injured, and hospitalized in stable condition. The child was wearing a helmet.

 

The driver of the Ford was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening. A passenger in the Ford was not injured.

 

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
