News: 72-year-old woman seriously injured in Johnson County rollover crash

JOHNSON COUNTY, MO – The Missouri State Highway Patrol said two Mayview residents were injured a rollover crash in Johnson County Monday morning.

 

According to a crash report, the accident occurred on the Missouri 13 bypass at the Blackwater River at about 9 a.m.  Investigators said 76-year-old James D. Worley was driving a 2002 Ford southbound when he tried to pass a southbound 2001 Ford.  Worley lost control of his car, which then struck a guardrail and overturned.

 

Worley’s passenger, 72-year-old Jacqueline A. Worley, was seriously injured and taken to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg.  James Worley sustained minor injuries and sought his own treatment.  Both were wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash.
