LAFAYETTE COUNTY, MO – The Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to a single-vehicle wreck in Lafayette County that left three teenagers injured on Friday afternoon.
The MSHP’s crash report states that the incident took place on Greenton Road south of Steep Hill Drive at about 3 p.m.
An 18-year-old man was driving a 2007 Ford F-150 pickup southbound when the vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck a fence and began to overturn. The driver was partially ejected before the Ford came to rest.
The driver and his passengers, two boys ages 15 and 13, each suffered moderate injuries. The three, all residents of Wellington, Missouri, were transported to Centerpoint Medical Center for treatment.
The passengers were wearing their seat belts while the driver was not, state troopers said.
