WARRENSBURG, MO – Two teenagers were injured in an accident involving a UTV in Johnson County on Saturday afternoon, KMMO reported.
The crash took place on Southwest 400 Road southwest of Warrensburg at about 1:40 p.m. The Missouri State Highway Patrol said that the driver of a Polaris Ranger was traveling westbound and lost control of the UTV, causing it to go off the roadway.
The driver, a 15-year-old girl, suffered moderate injuries while a passenger, age 17, was seriously injured. The two teens, both residents of Warrensburg, were transported to Children’s Mercy Hospital for treatment.
Investigators say both individuals were wearing safety devices at the time of the crash.
