KANSAS CITY, MO – The Kansas City Police Department is investigating a hit-and-run crash that killed a United States Postal Service worker on Wednesday night, the Kansas City Star reports.
The collision occurred at the intersection of Benton Boulevard and East 30th Street in the Santa Fe neighborhood at about 7:15 p.m.
The KCPD determined that the driver of a Chevrolet Equinox heading westbound entered the intersection from a stop sign and was struck by the USPS Dodge van that was going south on Benton Boulevard.
The impact caused the van to roll onto the driver’s side. The delivery worker was partially ejected and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Equinox fled the scene on foot and is now being sought by the KCPD.
