News: Sedalia man dies after UTV crashes into tree in Benton County

BENTON COUNTY, MO – A driver was killed in a crash involving a UTV in Benton County on Saturday evening, state troopers said.

 

The Missouri State Highway Patrol’s accident log stated that Troop A and the Benton County Sheriff’s Department were called to the scene at 11091 Leisure Drive shortly after 6 p.m.

 

A preliminary investigation determined that the driver of a 2024 Yamaha Wolverine was headed southbound when the vehicle struck a tree and overturned.  The Yamaha came to rest on the top of the driver.

 

The driver, a 43-year-old man from Sedalia, Missouri, was pronounced dead at the scene.  He was not wearing a safety device, according to the MSHP.
