PLATTE COUNTY, MO – The Missouri State Highway Patrol released its report on a fatal car wreck that occurred last week on Interstate 29 in Platte County.
The MSHP said the driver of a 2015 Audi Q5 was traveling southbound on Dec. 26 when the accident occurred near the 17.6 mile marker shortly before 12:30 a.m. The car travelled off the right side of the interstate and crashed into several trees.
The driver, a 72-year-old man from Platte City, Missouri, was pronounced dead about an hour later after being transported to North Kansas City Hospital.
