KANSAS CITY, MO – Two people were transported to the hospital after their vehicle crashed in Kansas City Monday afternoon.
According to KMBC, the driver of a Dodge Ram pickup truck was going at a very high rate of speed on East 18th Street just after noon.
After passing another vehicle near Indiana Avenue, police say the pickup went over a curb, hit a wooden electrical pole, overturned and ended up on a sidewalk.
The driver and a passenger were hospitalized in critical condition, though the passenger’s condition was later upgraded to serious but stable.
Kansas City police are investigating the cause of the accident.
