KANSAS CITY, MO – Police said a driver was killed when his pickup truck crashed in Kansas City last week, according to a report by the Kansas City Star.
Investigators said the man was driving a Ford F-150 pickup truck Tuesday at about 2:30 p.m. when he lost control of the vehicle on the exit from I-435 toward U.S. 71 north. The driver went off the east side of the roadway, over-corrected and went back onto the roadway before rolling over. He was believed to have been driving at a high rate of speed at the time.
Initially the man was speaking with officers at the scene and did not appear to have suffered life-threatening injuries. But his condition was later downgraded to critical at an area hospital and he was pronounced dead Tuesday night.
The identity of the victim was not immediately released.
