KANSAS CITY, MO – A pedestrian was killed in Kansas City in what police initially labeled as a hit-and-run incident.
WDAF reported details of the incident, which occurred Saturday afternoon in the area of Wyandotte Street and 6th Street.
An investigation determined that the driver of a passenger bus was making a left turn at the intersection at about 1:15 p.m. and struck a woman. The victim, whose name was not released, was pronounced dead Monday at Truman Medical Center.
Police said the bus driver left the scene of the crash without stopping. The bus was located several hours later, and the driver was reported to be cooperating with investigators.
