KANSAS CITY, MO – Police in Kansas City, Missouri were called to the scene of a fatal car wreck early Wednesday morning.
KMBC reports the incident happened shortly before 12:30 a.m. along Missouri 210 Highway in the vicinity of North Kimball Drive.
A preliminary investigation indicated that the driver of an eastbound Suzuki Reno went off the left side of the roadway on Missouri 210, where the vehicle crashed into a large concrete traffic signal pole.
A passenger in the car was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver was seriously injured and transported to an area hospital.
Police are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
