KANSAS CITY, MO – Police are investigating an incident in which a pedestrian was hit by a Ride KC bus in Kansas City Saturday afternoon, reports the Kansas City Star.
Police responded to the area of Truman Road and Prospect Avenue after being notified of the accident at about 4:20 p.m.
Investigators determined that a pedestrian grabbed onto the bus as it was driving away from a metro stop. The person lost their grip on Prospect Avenue, fell to the ground and was hit by the bus’s rear wheels.
The pedestrian, whose identity was not disclosed, was reported to be in critical condition after being rushed to an area hospital. The bus driver was not hurt.
