KANSAS CITY, MO – A multi-vehicle accident snarled traffic in Kansas City’s Northland on Thursday morning, Fox 4 KC reported.
A tractor-trailer was among the vehicles involved in the wreck that took place on southbound Interstate 35 sometime after 9 a.m. Minor injuries were reported.
Both southbound lanes of I-35 were closed near the Chouteau Trafficway while emergency crews responded to the scene, and northbound traffic was reduced to one lane due to an emergency vehicle.
Traffic was reported to backed up for miles until the scene could be cleared. Drivers were advised to avoid the area if possible, and use the exit at Vivion Road as an alternative route.
