News: Motorcyclist critically injured in collision on I-70 exit ramp

KANSAS CITY, MO – Kansas City police responded to the scene of a collision involving a motorcycle on Thursday night, reports KCTV.

A Harley Davidson and a Chevy Tahoe crashed on an exit ramp from Interstate 70 to Blue Ridge Cutoff, authorities said.

An investigation indicated that the motorcycle rider was heading north on Interstate 435 at about 7 p.m. and took the exit ramp onto eastbound I-70, but failed to yield to the Chevy and was struck. The motorcyclist was thrown from the bike and was transported to an area hospital in critical condition. The man was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, police said.

The Chevy driver told police he was attempting to exit from Interstate 70 and did not see the motorcycle until it hit his vehicle.
