News: Motorcyclist, 70, seriously injured after rear-ending vehicle in Johnson County

JOHNSON COUNTY, MO – The Missouri State Highway Patrol said a motorcyclist was injured in a collision in Johnson County on Tuesday night.

 

According to a crash report, the incident took place on North Simpson Drive east of Missouri 13 shortly before 7 p.m.

 

Troopres said 70-year-old Ronald B. Cowan was driving a 2004 Harley Davidson and turning off Missouri 13 onto North Simpson Drive when he struck the back of a 2009 Ford driven by 51-year-old Joyce Dorrell of Warrensburg, Missouri.

 

Cowan, also a Warrensburg resident, was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center with serious injuries.

 

The MSHP was assisted at the scene by Johnson County deputies.
