CARROLL COUNTY, MO – Two people were taken to the hospital after their motorcycle crashed in Carroll County Tuesday night, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.
The accident took place shortly before 9 p.m. on Highway 10 west of County Road 177.
State troopers said the operator of a 2018 Harley Davidson Electra Glide was headed west when the motorcycle struck a deer in the roadway. The motorcyclist and a passenger were ejected from the bike, which traveled off the left side of the roadway.
The driver, 38-year-old Jeremy Lamunion of Wellington, Missouri, and the passenger, 25-year-old Trista Sparks of De Soto, Kansas, were both seriously injured. They were airlifted to Truman Medical Center.
The motorcycle sustained extensive damage and was towed away from the scene.
