News: Man killed when motorcycle runs off road, hits pole in Kansas City

KAANSAS CITY, MO – An accident in Kansas City early Saturday morning left a motorcycle rider dead, the Kansas City Star reports.

 

The rider of a Harley Davidson motorcycle was heading north on Northeast Chouteau Trafficway shortly after midnight when the crash occurred near Northeast Russell Road.

 

The Kansas City Police Department said the motorcyclist drove off the right side of the road, went over a curb and crashed into a metal light pole. The rider, whose identity was not released, was ejected from the bike and pronounced dead at the scene.

 

Police are trying to determine what caused the crash.
