CASS COUNTY, MO – The Missouri State Highway Patrol released information regarding a deadly crash that occurred early Sunday morning in Cass County.
The wreck took place on Missouri Highway 2 east of 263rd Street in Freeman, Missouri. State troopers reported that the driver of a 2007 Subaru was going westbound at about 2 a.m. when he drove off the right side of the roadway. The vehicle hit an embankment, went airborne, collided with a rock bluff and overturned before coming to rest on its wheels.
The driver, a 38-year-old Freeman man, was pronounced dead later that morning. No other vehicles were involved. The Cass County Sheriff’s Department assisted the MSHP at the scene.
