News: 3 juveniles injured when car crashes into pole, tree in Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, MO – A car wreck in Kansas City, Missouri on Sunday night left three juveniles injured, KSHB reported.

 

The Kansas City Fire Department responded to the crash that occurred in the area of James A. Reed Road and E. 76th Street.   Police said the driver of a Chevrolet Cobalt was going north at a high rate of speed at about 7:37 p.m. and lost control of the car.

 

The Cobalt went off the roadway and entered the front yard of a residence.  The car then collided with a light pole and a tree.  Rescuers arrived to find one person trapped in the car, and extricated the person.

 

The three juveniles who were in the vehicle were transported to an area hospital, where one of them was listed in critical condition.

 

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
