RAY COUNTY, MO – One driver was killed and another injured when their vehicles collided in Ray County Tuesday morning, the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The MSHP reported that the accident took place on Missouri 210 west of Missouri T at 6:55 a.m. The driver of a 2024 Toyota was heading eastbound when the car crossed the center of the road and struck a 2008 Pontiac head-on, causing the Toyota to overturn.
The Pontiac driver, a 34-year-old woman from Richmond, Missouri, was pronounced dead at the scene. The Toyota driver, a 34-year-old man from Liberty, Missouri, suffered serious injuries and was transported to North Kansas City Hospital. Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the fatal crash, state troopers said.
The MSHP was assisted in its response and investigation by the Ray County Sheriff’s Department.
