News: Driver seriously injured when ATV crashes, overturns in Cass County

CASS COUNTY, MO – A driver was injured in an all-terrain vehicle crash in Cass County on Thursday afternoon, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

 

The MSHP reported that the accident happened in the area of E 219th Street and Raylynn Road at 4:25 p.m. The driver of a 2006 Bombardier ATV lost control of the vehicle while traveling eastbound and the ATV began to slide off the road. It then overturned, ejecting the driver before coming to rest.

 

The driver, a 30-year-old man from Belton, Missouri, was seriously injured and transported to Research Medical Center by the Belton Fire Department. He was not wearing a safety device at the time of the wreck.

 

The Cass County Sheriff’s Department assisted state troopers with the accident response and investigation.
