LAFAYETTE COUNTY, MO – State troopers were on the scene of a fatal pickup truck accident in Lafayette County Thursday morning.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s crash report, the driver of a Ford F250 failed to negotiate a curve while gong north on Route M at Mount Tabor Road at about 5:48 p.m.
The vehicle skidded sideways and overturned, ejecting the driver. The victim, 23-year-old Rayne Shields of Holden, was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seat belt, state troopers said.
