SALINE COUNTY, MO – The Missouri State Highway Patrol said two people were injured in a collision in Saline County on Wednesday afternoon.
In its crash report, the MSHP said the incident occurred on Missouri 240 in the area of Lime Avenue at about 12:50 p.m.
Troopers said 26-year-old Tyler Girard of Marshall, Missouri was driving a 2013 Chevrolet southbound on Lime Avenue when she travelled across MO-240 and struck a 2010 Dodge driven by 27-year-old Rebecca Sanders. The impact caused both vehicles to go off the roadway, where they came to rest in a ditch.
Sanders was reported to have suffered moderate injuries while her passenger, Nathaniel Sanders, sustained minor injuries. The two, both Marshall residents, were transported to Fitzgibbon Hospital by Saline County EMS. No other injuries were reported.
