News: Bicyclist critically injured in collision with truck in Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, MO – Kansas City police said a collision at an intersection Thursday afternoon left a bicyclist critically injured.

 

According to KSHB, the victim was a man riding a bicycle north on Kensington Avenue shortly after 3 p.m.

 

Police said the bicycle rider was carrying a large pot, and failed to stop at a stop sign.  When he turned onto Truman Road, he was struck by a Freightliner 108SD truck.

 

The man was knocked from the bicycle and suffered what were reported to be life-threatening injuries. The driver and passenger in the truck were not injured.
