News: Accident on Interstate 35 southbound sends 2 to hospital

CLAY COUNTY, MO – The Missouri State Highway Patrol was called to the scene of a two-vehicle collision on Interstate 35 on Wednesday evening.

 

The crash happened on I-35 south at the 12 mile marker in Clay County, the MSHP said in its report.

 

According to state troopers, a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado struck a 2005 Suzuki GSXR as both drivers were traveling south. Two people in the Suzuki sustained minor injuries in the collision.

 

The two injured were the driver, a 25-year-old man from Harrisonville, Missouri, and the passenger, an 18-year-old woman from Liberty, Missouri. They were both taken to North Kansas City Hospital for treatment.
